  1.      Often  we get requests for the 'latest' ROM upgrade,  because  someone

  3. sees  a  note  on  a BBS or hears from a friend that there  is  a  new  ROM
  4.  
  5. available.  Usually  upgrading to the latest ROM does not  hurt,  sometimes
  6.  
  7. even helps. But RARELY, the latest ROM will work worse under a given set of
  8.  
  9. conditions.  Type  ATI3 (AT 'eye' 3) to get your rom version. >>  And  make
  10.  
  11. SURE you give the modem SERIAL number so you get the correct ROM!
  12.  
  13.      So  I  do not recommend that a user get a new ROM just because  it  is
  14.  
  15. new.  If you have some problems, then by all means, order the new  ROM.
